Dismantle the pallet truck drawbar

The operation of pallet trucks is done via the drawbar - this is used to pull, push and steer the industrial trucks. The drawbar is connected to the pump. The load can be lifted and moved by moving it up and down. Disassembly is necessary, for example, to make maintenance work easier or to replace it in the event of a defect.

Safe standing. Before removing the lever handle, make sure that the pallet truck is on a flat, hard surface to avoid possible accidents or accidental rolling away.

Secure the spring. To do this, press the drawbar downwards. The spring can be secured using a screwdriver. To do this, push the screwdriver through the holes on both sides.

Loosen the chain. Then loosen the chain from the lever by unscrewing the adjusting nut. This remains on the underside of the lever plate.

Loosen the bolt. Next, loosen the wire pin and pull the chain out of the bolt from behind.

Loosen the axle. The axle bolt can be pushed sideways out of the holder by pressing. The long lever handle can be removed.
